In the budget 2024-25 presented by the Maharashtra state government on 28 June 2024, it been announced start of Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana Maharashtra 2024 for the women of the state, through which women from economically weaker families of the state, whose families’ annual income is not more than Rs 2.50 lakh and their age is from 21 years to 60 years, will be provided financial assistance of Rs 1500 every month, for which the government has announced a big budget of Rs 46000 crore.
Also, through this scheme, three LPG gas cylinders will be provided free of cost every year to eligible women for cooking and the fees for higher education of girls of OBC and EWS community will be waived.
